Before I explain this Paper Journey of ours, a big shout out to Ng Po Xin for the hard work and contribution when we worked together to come up with The Paper Journey.

Here's her blog https://poxin1016.wixsite.com/theartpanda so please check it out!

So, I think I've explained before about the reason behind our idea of The Paper Journey so refer here https://kamiharris.wixsite.com/kamileon/single-post/2018/05/16/GradMag---The-Paper-Journey for the reason behind The Paper Journey!

When we started out with The Paper Journey, it was just a random thought and idea we came up with. A small doodle of a paper airplane was what started it all and that's how the idea came to what it is today!

It wasn't just Po and I but the whole class that contributed to the gradmag design and idea improvements! Everyone had great ideas and contributions and placed their all into bringing this Paper Journey to life.

It wasn't an "I" but a "We" team. Breaking into three groups, management, graphic and writing team to create something out of the ordinary.

And so we started experimenting!

design after design and texture after texture. Crumpled papers and folded origami that we had to youtube search in order to learn. We spent our extra time sitting in a cafe, folding origami. It was fun and stressful but we managed.

Below are some of the textures, origami and papers planes we did to experiment, scan and bring into Adobe Illustrator!

We also experimented with crumpled paper in order to give the pages texture as well as portraying the paper journey.
